Sajek Valley
Sajek Valley is a roof of Haven Tourist Spot situated in Bangladesh.
Sajek Valley is located in the North angle of Rangamati in Khagrachari. It is
near the Mizoram border edge area. The valley is eighteen thousand feet high
from sea level.
Many small rivers run through the hills between Kachalon and Machalong.
These are very famous to visitors. It is one of the biggest unions in
Bangladesh. The main tribal minorities on the valley are Marma, Chakma, Pankau,
Tripura, Lushai, and Sigma. This place is called as hill queen for its natural
beauty and roof of Rangamati.
Visitors will notice superior mountains, thick forest, extensive
grasslands and miles of hilly tracks. On the way, people will come to cross
River Mayne, Mayne range, and River Kasalong. Their visitors will feel that the
green and blue match together creating a wonderful tune. They have passed to
the ups and downs of the mountainous road. At that time visitors will feel that
they are extremely close enough to touch the sky. Sometimes it feels as if they
are in a free fall to the valley. Roads are like big snake spirals mountains in
this region.
Principally, Sajek is the name of a river that divides Bangladesh from
India. Sajek is an all-climate tourist spot. It is sixty-seven kilometers
toward north-east. It is 95 km towards North-West from Rangamati city. The
international border with India is located within eight km toward the east. The
most charm of the spot is morning, rain, sunset, evening, and night.
Most of the people are Buddhist and Christian here.
Visitors have to be alert about malaria before traveling there. There is
somebody lotion or cream to prevent the mosquito. To visit this wonderful
location visitors have to prepare for both health and mind. Because it may is an
industrious tour for them climbing on hills. There are many cottages are
available within a reasonable price.
How To Go Sajek Valley
From Dhaka
- You can easily reach to Sajek valley. You need to go via Chittagong, so first consider which way you prefer, whether road or rail or air.
- Then, Chittagong to Khagrachhori busway is available and it needs a maximum of four hours.
- From Khagrachhori to Dighinala there have local buses, fare per head Tk 45/-.
- From Dighinala, three types of vehicles are available. Four wheels jeep, locally named as Chander Gari,accommodates 12-15 persons – rental return fare(8,500-10,000/- BDT . CNG accommodates 5 persons rental return fare 2500/- to 3000 /-, as it is risky, so you should consider whether to hire it. Another transport system is the motorcycle, it accommodates 3 persons including the driver, return fare 1000/- to 1200/-.
- It will be a dream trip if you have own car or arrange a car from the starting point.

For Travelling To Sajek, Rangamati
- Best time for traveling to Sazek is the winter (Because no rainfall there and you know the hill tracks are usually more dangerous to track in rainy season).
- For preventing mosquito bite, the body lotion is a must. You must take Odomus with you for better protection.
- Most of the electricity provided in Sajek from solar panel so power bank is relaxable and a must needed gadget.
- Carry sufficient drinking water bottles. Though you will find plenty of Stationery shops now in these days, still you should take a bottle with you full of water.
- Prior hotel booking must be ensured.
