Aside from the
waterfall, Himchori covers a large area and is an excellent place for a budding
hiker to explore the natural beauty of Bangladesh. It is best to get a guide –
tickets to enter cost 30 takas and the cost of a guide is quite reasonable. Be
warned though – there is a bit of a climb involved if you want to see the ocean
view. The Himchori Natural Park was established in 1980. This place is
maintained, protected, and secured by the government for foreign tourists
and local visitors.

The park also
considered as a mecca for birdwatchers. A lot of bird watchers are gathered
here for seeing the different kinds of birds, as more than 286 species of
birds found there. Additionally, 55 species of mammals, 56 species of reptiles, and 13 species of amphibians found in the evergreen forest. A small number of
elephants and leopard also located here. The place is used for picnics, as film
shooting spots and bird safari. With an entry fee of 5 takas, you can witness
wildlife and incredible natural sceneries.
How to go to Himchori?
Tourists must come to
Cox’s Bazar first and then go to the beautiful and Cox’s Bazar’s enchanted
coral paradise Him Chori. From Dhaka, there are many bus services such as
Shamoli Bus Service, Hanif Paribahan, Green Line, Volvo Scania, etc. There are
both AC bus and non-AC bus available in each of the bus mentioned above
services. The cost of a ticket for an AC bus in these facilities is within the
price range of 1400 to 2000 taka. For non-AC bus, the price of a ticket is 800
to 900 takas. The cost of tickets varies from service to service and as a
result, it is wise to consult the bus service providers in their counters which
is situated in multiple areas in Dhaka.
As for traveling
through Airplane, there are four flights which are, Biman Bangladesh Airlines,
Novo Air, United Airways, US-Bangla Airlines. These fights go on a daily basis
the Round Cost for Biman and United Airways is 5500-7000tk, and others are the one-way flight which costs from 5200tk to 8700tk.
From Kalatali Stand,
it is the only 15-minute ride to entry; if you take a taxi or Chander Gari
(local transport). You can also rent a car from the main town. The cost of covering a visit to Himchori is not much, the ticket is only 30 taka. Other
than that if you have a predetermined ride, it won’t cost you much. But a
Chander Gari or tom-toms will take around 60 takas to 70 depending on the
distance it covers.

Cox’s Bazar is a place
filled with tons of hotels and rooms. You can find a place in a reasonable rate
depending on your budget. From a plethora of hotels, there are Shaibal,
Sayman, Long beach, and tons of hotel rooms in Labani beach. In the off-season, the place
offers many discounts and deals but other than that depending on the budget one
has to fix the hotel rooms. Himchori also has quite a few hotel options. After
visiting Himchari if you want to stay at night, you should remain in Cox’s Bazar.
You will get some hotels and restaurants there with a different budget.
When planning out a
trip to Cox’s Bazar, one has to make a budget compartmentalizing it into the
cost of traveling, accommodation, food, and another charge of traveling and
shopping. If you travel by bus, it takes 2000 taka, and by air, it’s 5000 takas.
Depending on the days you wish to stay, you can manage hotel rooms. The
incredible thing is the cost of food is not that expensive in Cox’s Bazar if
you eat at hotels outside given that most hotels offer complimentary breakfast
to their guests. There are many hotels like Dhanshiri which provide excellent
food items at a low cost.
You can also try
seafood in the beach areas. One of the best beaches is Pechar deep. With
